The primary strength of the Cloud9World program are our 50+ books and eBooks explaining positive character strengths that support the development of good mental health. Each story is carefully crafted to include settings and characters around the world, exposing readers to a rich variety of locations, customs, and cultures. Children immediately closely identify with lovable, non-threatening animal characters and children their age experiencing a variety of common social situations. Through character identification and modeling the characters provide, children recognize and learn about specific character strengths and their related behaviors. Throughout these rich literacy experience, children often find their own voices beyond the story as they make connections with characters and situations to their own lives and experiences. Cloud9World books explain character development in simple, practical and child-friendly language, making character development natural and attainable for children. Teachers and parents sharing in the Cloud9World literacy experience also find their voices, developing new ways to explain character strengths and behaviors.

Teachers have access to loads of literacy and SEL activities with digital curriculum leveled for easy differentiation for students between grades PK-12. Curriculum is easy to navigate with symbols and a menu-style layout. Available activities cover literacy skills in reading comprehension, vocabulary, writing, speaking, listening, research, and require little/no advanced preparation. Activities employ current best practices, cross curriculum options, and are written in student-friendly language organized in short menus to provide integrated student and teacher choice. All curriculum activities are aligned with ELA standards and are printable for teachers’ use.

Growing Character from the Core – Your Way!

Teachers utilize interactive teacher tools, such as the countdown clock, to increase student attention, support whole or small group instruction, and activity completion. Other tools include virtual vocabulary cards for younger students and an emotions check-in tool. Teachers can access interactive intervention tools to reteach or reinforce character strength application with a variety of drag and drop virtual banners for goal setting and visual reinforcement, as well as personalized printable student awards. Interactive intervention tools are appropriate for whole group Tier I instruction, as well as Tier 2 and 3 instruction with smaller groups and individual students.
